“APPARATUS for and ALTERNATIVE METHOD of GENERATING ELECTRICITY”

Current hydroelectric power generation systems are struggling to meet an ever increasing consumer demand. To meet the demand a conventional approach involves increasing the number of hydroelectric power generation systems which in turn involves the construction of further reservoirs complete with either expensive dams to provide the head of water and/or unsightly pipelines to serve the power generators. Typically such reservoirs are in isolated locations (cost implications) and may involve the flooding of countryside (environmental impact). It is the object of this apparatus to construct and bring into operation at a lower cost, a less hazardous and more environmentally acceptable means of generating electricity.
